6. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

6.1 Working with Detergents

Working with a detergent ensures quick soaking of the dirt, and

allows the high-pressure water to penetrate and remove the dirt

more eectively. Always spray detergent on a dry surface, do not

pre-soak the area. Wetting the surface rst dilutes the detergent

and reduces its cleaning ability.

To apply detergents, you must be operating at a low pressure. This

provides a gentle application of the detergent, with the pressure

equivalent to the garden hose pressure. The high-pressure setting

is used for cleaning; you cannot apply detergents when working

at a high pressure. Always test the detergent in a concealed area

before use.

Engage the safety lock on the spray gun.

(When using detergent)

1. Fill the detergent container with detergent.

2. Insert the detergent wand onto the gun as shown.

3. Rotate gun ¼ clockwise to lock into position.

Turn on the pressure washer. Pull the trigger to operate

the device. The liquid detergent will be mixed with water

automatically, being discharged through the nozzle at

low pressure. Apply the detergent to a dry work surface

from bottom to top.

Allow detergent to remain on the surface for a short

time before rinsing. Do not allow detergent to dry on

the surface.

Rinse with clean water under high pressure. On a vertical

surface, rinse from the bottom up, then rinse from the

top down to avoid streaking. Hold the nozzle 15-20cm

(6-8”) away from the work surface at a 45° angle.

When you have nished using the detergent injection

system, ll the detergent container with clean water.

Siphon water at low pressure for one minute, so that all

detergent is ushed through the system. Remove the

detergent container and rinse it thoroughly.

CAUTION

Damage may occur to painted surfaces if chemicals are

allowed to dry on them. Wash and rinse a small section at a

time. Avoid working on hot surfaces or under direct sunlight.
